Before you make an Official Information Act (OIA) request, it’s worth checking to see if the information you’re looking for is already publicly available.

How to make an OIA request

To request official information from the Ferry Holdings you can either:

  • email us at info@ferryholdings.co.nz, or
  • write to us at OIA requests, Ferry Holdings, PO Box 650, Wellington 6140, New Zealand

As part of your request, make sure you tell us:

  • your name
  • your preferred contact details
  • the full details of the information you would like to see.

How we respond to OIA requests

We respond to all OIA requests as soon as possible, and in line with our legislative timeframes. You should receive an acknowledgement of your request within 5 working days.

If the information you requested is considered to be of public interest, we may also publish the response here on our website.

Making a complaint

You can make a complaint if you feel the Ferry Holdings has not met its obligations to you under the Official Information Act.

You can either:

  • contact us directly at info@ferryholdings.co.nz with your complaint, or
  • submit a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman.
