Katherine Rich has a background which spans the public and private sectors, including a political career and leading industry associations. Katherine has worked with multiple government departments including MBIE, MPI, Fisheries, Environment and Commerce Commission. Previously, she was Chief Executive for the New Zealand Food & Grocery Council, and she is currently the CEO of BusinessNZ.

Katherine brings her knowledge of the public sector and machinery of government, public accountability, evidence-based decision-making, governance, leadership, public advocacy, and strategy to the Ferry Holdings Board.
