Katherine Rich has a background which spans the public and private sectors, including a political career and leading industry associations. Katherine has worked with multiple government departments including MBIE, MPI, Fisheries, Environment and Commerce Commission. Previously, as Chief Executive for the New Zealand Food & Grocery Council, and she is currently the CEO of BusinessNZ.

Katherine brings her knowledge of the public sector and machinery of government, public accountability, evidence-based decision-making, governance, leadership, public advocacy, and strategy to the Ferry Holdings Board.
