Sandip Ranchhod leads Ferry Holdings Limited as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the delivery of the Cook Strait Ferry Work Programme. Appointed in September 2025, Sandip brings more than 25 years of experience in strategic infrastructure development, with a strong track record in managing complex public sector projects and public-private partnerships. His leadership is grounded in a deep understanding of commercial strategy, stakeholder engagement, and large-scale transport delivery.

Before joining Ferry Holdings, Sandip served as General Manager Commercial at City Rail Link, where he played a key role in delivering New Zealand’s first underground metro rail system. His work was instrumental in shaping the commercial framework and ensuring successful collaboration across government and industry.
